Delbridge Racing has secured  for our clients an Encosta De Lago gelding who originally cost $500,000 at the New Zealand yearling sales.

He is bred in the purple being by Encosta De Lago and out of a Snippets mare, Snippets Girl. He is the 5-y-old bay gelding GREEN PEARL.

GREEN PEARL had seven starts in Australia during 2009 for a win and a number of very good placings before becoming eligible to race in Honk Kong.

In Hong Kong he was competitive and at his last run in November 2010 he was only beaten 2.5 lengths over 1800 metres running on strongly with his last 400 metres in a smart 23.59 seconds. He has now returned to Australia to race. He has completed his quarantine period and is now at Riverend Park and will be trained by Grant Craven.

He is only a lightly raced and is a very sound 5-y-old gelding who has had only 12 starts for 1 wins and 3 placed runs. We feel he will be ideally suited back in Australia.  He is a proven winner with good ability so the syndicate will have a lot of fun racing this horse.

GREEN PEARL is back in work during May and is aiming to be ready to race by August 2011.
