Fiddes – Delbridge Racing’s first big race win was Fiddes in the 2005 Snake Gully Cup at Gundagai.
A striking grey Fiddes had a powerful finishing sprint in his races and was always competitive.
His legs were anything but sound but trainer Gary Sherer was able to nurse him through many a campaign and win some big races with him including the time-honoured Snake Gully Cup.
He was an 8 time winner from only 26 starts for a winning strike-rate of 31% and prizemoney of $103k.
His finishing sprint was a quick as any horse going around at the time and he created plenty of excitement for the Delbridge Racing Fiddes syndicate.
