Green Pearl was rewarded for his recent consistency with a very impressive all-the-way win on Friday 7 October 2011 at Sale over 1714 metres.

He was well rated in front by jockey Anthony Darmanin and held off the strong field of challengers to win at the good odds of $10 for his large group of syndicate members many of whom experienced their first winner.

The win was a reward for his consistency and he has now had a win, 2 seconds, a fourth and a fifth from only 5 starts for the Delbridge Racing Green Pearl syndicate.

Green Pearl (pictured after track work) has been an astute selection for Delbridge Racing. Green Pearl showed good ability in Australia early in his career before racing in Hong Kong. He did not acclimatise in Hong Kong and on his return to Australia was syndicated to Delbridge Racing.

“Green Pearl has been a great pick-up for our syndicate members. The way he races reminds me of our former warhorse DRIZZLE who was a two-time winner of the Magic Million Stayers Cup. Green Pearl gives his all every time he races and although not blessed with a fast sprint he is competitive in any race he contests” Managing Director, Delbridge Racing, Mark Leo stated after the race. He added that “Green Pearl will continue to be placed in winnable races over the coming months and is proving an ideal horse for the syndicate members many of whom are racing a thoroughbred for the first time”

The win of Green Pearl means that Delbridge Racing horses have a 18% winning strike rate this racing season confirming again that they are selecting the right horses at the right price for their owners and placing them in the right races.
