Delbridge Racing is offering shares in a yearling purchased on the opening day of the world-renowned 2012 Karaka Premier yearling sale in New Zealand, a sale that produces many of the Group race winners in the Australian spring and autumn carnivals.

The bay yearling colt is by the rising star of sires, and Group 1 winning race racehorse, Darci Brahma, who is also the sire of Delbridge Racing’s latest stakes performer, the 3-y-old Pakari Toa, winner of 2 races from only 3 starts.

The yearling colt, from Belleva, was selected and purchased by Mark Kavanagh for Delbridge Racing clients and we are processing all documentation now for him to be syndicated. He has Group 1 winning form on both sides of his bloodlines and he looks likes an early running type who will train on to perform well over middle distances.

His dam is a half-sister to the multiple group winning, CENT HOME (2 x Group 1 and 3 x Group 2 wins), BALLET SOCIETY (2 x Group 2 and 2 x Group 3 wins) and STUDEBAKER (winner at Group 2 level) with wins from distances of 1200 to 2050 metres in both Australia and New Zealand.

Mark Kavanagh commented that the Darci Brahma colt “has great pedigree and is a really nice type. He has similar bloodlines to Pakari Toa who I also selected for Delbridge Racing clients. He will be a bigger horse than Pakari Toa who has shown a lot of potential and I will be hoping he has similar ability. In my opinion he is the best Darci Brahma at this sale and his pedigree page is full of black type winners. He is well developed enough to be an early type but he will get better as he gets older and will be suited over middle distances as he matures. He is already on my farm at Gisborne, Victoria, and I look forward to parading him to Delbridge Racing clients. You will like what you see.”

The Delbridge racing Mark Kavanagh combination has a winning strike-rate this season of 40% and has also has produced the Group 3 winning Shamoline Warrior.

We are offering 5% and 10% shares in this colt by Darci Brahma with 5% shares available for $6374 (including GST) which includes insurance, transport from NZ to Australia and training costs up to 31 March 2012. A 10% share will guarantee your name in the race book.
