Delbridge Racing’s most-winning trainer, Gary Sherer, did it again yesterday 20 May 2010 at Bendigo with the win of Georgia’s Boy in the first heat of the winter championship.

It was another great training feat by Sherer who freshened Georgia’s Boy up from a mile back to 1300 metres and he never looked like losing after being superbly ridden by Brent Stanley.

Georgia’s Boy is raced by the Delbridge Racing Georgia syndicate and the members of the syndicate were ecstatic with the win which was “George’s” 5th win and he has now earned $164k in prizemoney.

Astute owner Damien Jess was on track to witness the win and was full of praise for Sherer. “The good thing about Gary is if you leave him alone and let him find the right race and set a horse for it, the majority of time he will come up trumps and that’s what he did again for us today”

Jess was very complementary of how Georgia’s Boy looked in the mounting yard and he raced accordingly. Jockey Brent Stanley rode him very well and he is finding an affinity with Delbridge Racing horses with todays win his 5th winner for Delbridge Racing in as many months.

Managing Director, Delbridge Racing, Mark Leo, was very pleased with the win. “‘Gary did the right thing by dropping him back in distance and it was a very good win. I do not think we have seen the best of this horse yet and if kept to sprint distances I feel there is a good race in him” he said. He continued “It was Sherer’s 47th winner for Delbridge Racing and he continues to present our horses in mint condition when they race and it means they always run up to their true ability. Our owners appreciate everything he is doing for them.”

Delbridge Racing has shares in yearlings with Gary Sherer available by Elvstroem and Keep The Faith including a half-brother to a recent listed winner. So if you are interested please contact us by return email or on 0419561715.
