Triple European Gr1-winning Coolmore shuttler Oratorio (Danehill-Mahrah, by Vaguely Noble) added a UK juvenile group success when Sir Robert Ogden's Irish-bred colt King Torus (Oratorio-Dipterous, by Mujadil) scored by a neck in the £70,000 (A$121,000) Gr2 Superlative Stakes (7 furlongs) for 2YOs at Newmarket. Front-running King Torus (ridden by Richard Hughes for trainer Richard Hannon) defeated US-bred colt Ecliptic (Kingmambo-Indy Five Hundred, by A.P.Indy) & fellow colt Klammer (Exceed And Excel-Aymara, by Darshaan). King Torus was a €30,000 (A$44,000) yearling at Ireland's 2009 Goffs Million Sale. Overall he now has 2 wins from 3 starts for £46,957 (A$81,000) earnings.

Oratorio is also the sire of a Delbridge Racing syndicated rising two year old colt from Devon Dancer (pictured above) to be trained by Mark Kavanagh at Flemington. The colt has done extremely well since being purchased at the 2010 Inglis Premier sale and is now being broken in for the Delbridge Racing Slick syndicate.
