Six-time winner Beltoro has been retired.

The 8-year-old Toronado gelding, Beltoro, has been a great horse for the ownership group winning 6 races, always giving his all and winning twice at listed level.

His wins included the Listed Albury Gold Cup 2000 metres and Listed CS Hayes stakes 1600 metres in Adelaide. He also won twice at Flemington (see photo of one of those wins) during his career which consisted of 58 starts, 6 wins, 7 seconds and 5 thirds for $787k in prizemoney. The versatile galloper won over distances from 1300 to 2000 metres, winning in 3 states – Victora, NSW and South Australia.

The tough gelding was bred by the ownership group who also raced his dam the Zabeel mare,  Believabeel. Beltoro will be well cared for in his retirement.

Rob Hickmott did a great job training Beltoro through-out his career and the ownership group thank Rob and his team for their work with the horse.

Beltoro raced the majority of his career in city class races and takes his place alongside some of the best performed Delbridge Racing horses including Shamoline Warrior,  Drizzle, Ginspiel,  Allano and Georgia’s Boy.

Congratulations and thank you to all the owners involved in Beltoro and we hope you all enjoyed the ride.

Delbridge Racing and the owners are fortunate to have a half-sister to Beltoro just starting her career and hopefully she will reach the heights of her older sibling.

Go Beltoro.
