Mark Leo, Managing Director, Delbridge Racing was entertained by the Manila Jockey Club at last Sunday’s AMB. Eduardo M. Cojuanco Jr Cup meeting at San Lazaro, Manila.
Mark was honoured to have lunch with the Chairman of the Manila Jockey Club, Mr. Alfonso R. Reyno Jr, and meet many of his team including Racing Manager, Mr. Jose Ramon C. Magboo.
“It was great to experience first-hand the atmosphere of racing Manila style and it was a great day. The racing was very competitive and the track and facilities are first class. The Chairman was a great host. He and his team made us feel very welcome” Mark said.
Mark was travelling with Mr. Michael Efron, Chairman of Binh Phouc Recreation Company Pty Ltd, who arranged to introduce Mark to the Chairman.
Also at the lunch were Mr. Allyson S Artes, CEO, Oneglobalink, Mr. Benny Caleda, Chairperson, Philippines Business Group, Vietnam and Mr. Bobby R. Bautista, Senior Associate, Synex.
Mark was very positive about the day “We had some good discussions and Delbridge Racing would be keen to become more involved in Philippines racing if the opportunity arose. I met some great people and they are all passionate about racing with a lot of knowledge about the industry.”
Mark, on behalf of Delbridge Racing, extended an invitation to the Racing Manger of the Manila Jockey Club, Mr Jose Ramon C. Magboo, to visit Australia and Delbridge Racing in 2011 to experience racing Australian style.
